Das Projekt “Menschen Einer Welt – Faces of One World” stellt alle 197 Nationen unserer Welt dar. Damit soll sowohl ein Gesamtbild unserer Menschheit, wie auch die Individualität jeden einzelnen Menschen gezeigt werden. Gesichter verschiedener Altersgruppen, von Frauen und Männer kommen auf vielfältige Weise zum Ausdruck.
Einen Menschen aus einem Land zu malen ist wie das Auswählen von Musik aus einer Fülle von Liedern. Die Porträts sind keine Abbildung von Nationen, sondern eine Darstellung unseres Menschseins. Es ist ihre Authentizität: beseelte Menschen, deren Gesichter Geschichten erzählen, Augen, die den Betrachter einfangen und die Einzigartigkeit und Echtheit jedes Einzelnen.
“Faces of One World”
The project, “Menschen Einer Welt - Faces of One World”, is a set of 197 portraits, representing one person from each of our world’s 197 nations. The aim is to portray a united world even while showcasing the uniqueness of each individual. The portraits will be of people from across the ages and genders, and from many of the paths our souls may walk.
Selecting only one figure from a nation is like selecting a song from a lifetime of songs. The portraits are not metaphors for nations but simply humans unto themselves. It's their authenticity: people, who allow you to see their souls, who share their storied faces, sincere eyes that capture and engage the viewer, and genuineness of expression.
